Electric vehicle infrastructure resilience
A resilience of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure along major corridors project will create an updated agent-based traffic model that will predict wait times at electric vehicle charging infrastructure along certain major corridors in North Carolina under varying traffic scenarios and test stresses on the system to determine impacts on charging infrastructure wait times along the corridor. The result will be an agent-based traffic model that predicts wait times for EV chargers along major corridors in North Carolina based on projected EV penetration and expected deployment of EV charging infrastructure for a five-year planning horizon.
